John Kent Woolsey

As reported in the Thetford & Watton Times, April 1915 –

 


Promotion – John Kent Woolsey, son of Mr Henry Kent Woolsey, 7th Bedfordshire Regiment, has undergone a rapid series of promotions since he joined the Army at the outbreak of war.  In one month he has been promoted to Corporal, then Sergeant and now Sergeant Major.  He had formerly served in the Royal Navy, on Prince of Wales and Indomitable.”
